Fortnite is well known for collaborating with a variety of brands, studios, comics, and celebrities. So, any news for any sort of collaboration should not be surprising for anyone. In these collaborations, fans are offered new skins, new missions and new gameplay enhancements according to the event. Most of these crossovers/collaborations last for a week or so but offer fans a lot of fun. Owing to a latest leak by @HYPEX we now know The Witcher is soon coming up in Fortnite and what all is going to be added.
Fortnite Chapter 4: The Witcher Crossover and Geralt of Rivia Skin
The Witcher universe has seen quite a bit of expansion in the recent past. Since 2019, we have seen Netflix executing all their Witcher plans including the main web series, the anime “Nightmare of the Wolf”, and the spinoff “The Witcher: Blood Origin”. Also, just a few months ago, CDPR also announced a new Witcher game with a new Witcher anime film called The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep also leaked to be under development. Also, as you may know Witcher Season 3 is all set to debut in Mid 2023 and a new spinoff called “The Rats” will also arrive soon after season 3.
But before all that, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt Next Gen Update is about to release on 14th December 2022 which is just 10 days away now. Owing to that, we will see a new Fortnite x Witcher crossover which comes packed with new skins, weapons and what not. So, following is all that we know so far about the upcoming crossover. It will include:
- Geralt of Rivia Skin which reads “white haired yellow eyed monster for hire”
- A new emote which will make Geralt cast the IGNI sign. If you are unaware, the Igni sign allows Geralt to use fire in creative ways to get edge over his enemies.
- The Black Bling which will have the weapons Geralt carries aka 2 swords, and crossbow.
- Harvesting tool in the form of The Witcher’s Steel Sword is is basic but effective. If you are unaware, Geralt carries two swords aka steel for humans and silver for monsters.
- The Witcher graffiti and poster
As for Geralt’s other style, they might add some other armor among so many options or a Netflix Henry Cavil armor. Since the DLC in Witcher 3 will feature that armor as well, it makes the most sense as alternate look. As for the release date for this crossover, it will unlock over 2 months later as part of the gold pass. Aside from The Witcher, Fortnite Chapter 4 will also see crossovers with My Hero Academia, Doom games, and Mr. Beast.
