God of War Ragnarok Atreus and Serpent

God of War: Ragnarok is the newest and the final game in the Norse mythology saga. The game is a sequel to the hit God of War reboot that came out in 2018. Since, the sequel was announced the hype around it has been enormous. Despite the hype around the game that was so massive the game has managed to surpass the ridiculous expectations from fans. The story of the game is so rich and fulfilling that no one expected that the sequel would be better than the original game which was at its time considered to be perfect. The sequel picks up directly where the last game left us where our protagonist has to deal with the consequences of the past. The visuals and gameplay of the sequel is awestriking to the point where it almost feels like seamless.

I’m aware many of you would have started to play the game but have not completed it yet and for those of you struggling with it or just wondering how to suck out as much experience from the game as possible, then this article is for you as I’m about to tell you the best armors and skills we can use early on in the game.

God of War: Ragnarok- Which are the Best Armors You Should Use?

God of War: Ragnarok - All Main Boss Fights and Berserker Bosses So Far

Players while enjoying the initial stages of the game can unlock certain host skills in the game that can greatly benefit them and boost their attack combos. This will further make the game more enjoyable for you. Here’s the list of best skills that you can acquire and should definitely not miss out on in the game.

Permaforst and Immolation: At weapon level 2 these skills will unlock and they will greatly increase your axe’s “Frost” and “Burn” status.  The new weapon charging system is rather handy in dealing lots of damage to enemies while also inflicting elemental status. If you unlock these above mentioned skills then it will help players conjure unlimited amounts of damage on enemies without even touching the runic attacks.

Glacial Rake (God of War: Ragnarok): If you know the River of Knives from the last game then this will be easy to understand as this skill is basically the tier-1 version of it. This is an extremely strong skill and can be unlocked pretty early on. Glacial Rake allows players to send an ice shockwave through the enemies. This not just causes damage but also inflicts frost.

Hyperion Grapple: Another thing that used to be a runic attack in the last game is has become a skill now. It is capable of causing catastrophic damage on a target and also inflicts the burn status. This is skill is especially useful for players that choose to use Blades of Chaos over the Leviathan Axe. Another perk of this skills is a brilliant gap closer, that might be helpful for for some mini-boss encounters.

Serpent’s Snare: This is as simple as boosting the charged heavy attack using the Leviathan Axe, this will give players massive health and stun damage. The skill also allows players to inflict frost with heavy charged attack. The downtime to charge before using the heavy attack again is quite short as well in comparison to all the attacks with the Axe.

Perma Frost: This skill is underrated as it is passive, it allows players to build up and deal frost damage with every strike from the Leviathan Axe that is if you don’t get hit. We all know how a frost build-up can lurch enemies, exposing them to critical strikes. This is especially useful when attacking enemies in groups.
