God of War: Ragnarok is now barely 20 days away folks and the anticipation surrounding the game is at its peak. The second trailer for the game reassured fans that they are in for an adventure of a lifetime and that PS4 era will go out with a bang! Last month we brought to you some new leaks and spoilers about the game including Odin, new enemies, main plot, Thor, The Norns, Svartalfheim, and more. A few weeks ago we shared more details of the playtime and the size of the game and today we have for you something that all of us have been waiting a long time for! Be warned, though, that MASSIVE SPOILERS follow below and you should proceed at your own risk.
God of War: Ragnarok – Watch Leaked Thor vs Kratos Fight Here
Even since fans discovered the post-credit of God of War (2018), they have been overly hyped by the eventual battle between Thor and Kratos. If you are unaware, the post credit scene where Thor appears in God of War rolls out when you visit Kratos’ house after you complete the “Mother’s Ashes” quest. While that is later revealed to be a dream Atreus had, we all knew it was coming. The first trailer for GOW: Ragnarok featured Ryan Hurst’s voice as Thor and the shots from the very same post credit scene. But the second trailer showed Thor in all his glory exchanging blows with Kratos and fans completely lost their minds!
The only issue was that the scene lasted barely a second but it was enough to hype us all beyond measure. Well, the good news is that almost 1 minute of the very same battle sequence between Kratos and Thor has been leaked. As you can see, Thor is probably the toughest opponent Kratos has faced till now and you can see him absolutely ruling the fight. It is evident that he is pretty angry with Kratos and while beating him up he yells, “Was it luck? Did my sons die to blind f###ing luck?” He then throws a fight banter and calls Kratos “dumbass” cause he didn’t predict Thor’s move. The very frustrated Thor goes on to say, “You think you can come here, become a daddy, get a clean slate? That ain’t how it works. You are a destroyer like me”. What happens next is no short of pure badassery and will go down as one of the greatest moments in God of War history!
Thor goes on to kill Kratos with a massive blow to his head using the Mjolnir. The screen in players’ Playstation shows what it usually does when you die but this time there is no “continue or quit option”. Instead we hear Thor mockingly saying, “Oh no… I SAY WHEN WE ARE DONE!” and revives Kratos using his lightening. “I am not leaving till I see the real you. Get up!” And just like that Thor became one of the most badass God of War characters yet and delivered an instant iconic line!
So obviously, Thor is going to be a major boss fight in the game and it is a popular fan theory that he will render Kratos underpowered at the beginning of the game. He might take break Kratos’ axe and seize the Blade of Chaos from what we’ve heard fans theorize. It would surely be interesting to see how Kratos loses all his progress in this game.
