Grand Theft Auto is a game designed and created by David Jones and Mike Dailly. The game was a series of action-adventures that led to fun situations giving players some thrills. The first game of this franchise came out in November 1997. The success of the first game led to it being continued and converted into a franchise. Prior to GTA 6, there are 16 versions of this game including the first one, Grand Theft Auto followed by:

The latest version of the game came out in 2021. The new game in the franchise Grand Theft Auto 6 was rumored to come out very soon. An insider of GTA has teased fans what they can expect from the post-launch content of the game. The company that is behind in developing in the GTA games-Rockstar Games had huge success with previous versions of the game like Grand Theft Auto V and the online iteration of it: GTA Online. The online iteration of the game was a tremendous success and it forced Rockstar to cancel the already announced single-player DLC that had reportedly been in development for a while. Many people were upset with this decision but from a business standpoint it was a brilliant decision as the numbers the online mode was pulling in were off the roof. This unseen success made people worried that Rockstar wouldn’t be developing in the space of single player stories in the future but that may not be the case for the already confirmed Grand Theft Auto 6.
Is GTA 6 going to have a DLC Version?
Tez2, a trusted Rockstar Games insider reported on the GTA forums that Rockstar has supposedly found a way to strike a balance of everything it wants to do with GTA 6. The supposed way that they’ve found helps them to achieve both the things without changing the course abruptly. Recently Bloomberg reported that with GTA 6 Rockstar was planning to update the game with new missions and new cities.
This reported certainly scared a lot of people as they thought Rockstar would release an unfinished game and then simply rely on updates to match the missing pieces of the puzzle. Tez2 defended this move and said this way will allow Rockstar to “go back to how they were planning future content before GTA Online success boomed.” Tez2 further revealed that Rockstar is planning to have the first wave of new missions and cities for GTA 6 before they release the game and then will be able to allocate resources to the developer’s next game.
As we know Rockstar has already scaled back the magnitude of GTA 6 . The game was previously set to have at least parts of multiple countries. It is highly unclear whether this plan has actually worked and resulted into something getting made or designed. The developer of the game might revisit his concept in DLCs properly realize its vision. Another thing that is unclear is when would Rockstar reveal Grand Theft Auto 6. There are theories that it would be sometime this year based on some patterns and key dates in Rockstar’s history.
Grand Theft Auto 6 doesn’t have a release date yet. The game is rumored to release sometime around 2023-24.
