You know a game is famous if someone like me is talking about it. Oh, if you’re new to the site then I’m as far from games as a person can be. The only two games I’ve ever played in my life are Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. So, when I’m talking about GTA, you know it is special. I don’t think there is a single soul that hasn’t played any iteration of GTA in their life. It is such an integral part of a gamer’s life. Many people begin their gaming journey with GTA. Despite its simple premise the love people have for the game is insane. Which is why GTA 6, the latest and upcoming iteration of the franchise is generating immense hype. The highly anticipated sequel is a long way down the road, but its trailer is not and this announcement is spreading like wildfire.
GTA 6 Is Going To Break The Internet!
Grand Theft Auto V launched way back in 2013, so, fans have been waiting for the better part of a decade for GTA 6. Rockstar Games released their next game, Red Dead Redemption 2 five years later in 2018. Both games are industry defining titles and in the top ten best selling games of all-time. It has been 10 years since the last Grand Theft Auto game and we have gone two console generations in that time. One can only imagine what Rockstar might achieve on a future title.
Naturally, after years of wait fans were desperate and Rockstar Games knew that the owe a lot to the fans at this point. Which is why yesterday, the gaming studio took to Twitter to confirm that the trailer for GTA 6 will release sometime in December. There was no teaser, poster, or even an artwork attached with the announcement. It was simply a block of text, as bland as you can be. Still, fans went absolutely rabid over it. There were million of reactions from fans in celebration of the announcement.
Despite being just text, the announcement has now become the most liked gaming tweet of all-time (1.3 million likes, 134.4 million views) within hours. Similarly, Rockstar Games’ Instagram post reeled in over 2 million likes. If this isn’t proof for the game’s hype then I don’t know what is. After just little leaks the entire internet was talking about GTA, which tells you the popularity of the franchise that has only increased over the years.
GTA 6 doesn’t have a release date at the time of writing but A release window between April 2024 and March 2025 has been speculated.
