After a gut-wrenching Game of the Year snub, the controversial yet best-selling game of 2023 still seems to be rocking the world of gaming. Just last month Hogwarts Legacy was finally released for Nintendo Switch, which means even more sales will follow in the remainder of 2023. Also, considering the failure of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, it seems like Hogwarts Legacy will remain the best seller of the year. Offering long hours of gameplay and stuffed with side quests, labours, and unlimited exploration, Hogwarts Legacy is a delight for any Harry Potter fan. However, fans being fans always want more and that is exactly what we’ll be talking about today.
Job Listing Reveals More Hogwarts Legacy – DLC or Sequel?
We have some great news for the fans as according to a recent job listing at Hogwarts Legacy developer, Avalanche Software, we are about to get more content for the game! Shared on r/harrypottergame, the job listing suggests that potential new content is coming to Hogwarts Legacy in one form or another. The job listing is for a “Senior Producer to join the team of Hogwarts Legacy” with a set of roles and responsibilities which directly hint at production of new content.
Confirmed: Some Additional Gameplay!

As of now, it has not been confirmed whether this means a DLC, a sequel, or possibly both. While a sequel is surely in works as hinted before as well, the state of the original game leaves a lot of scope for additional content. It has been 10 months since its release and fans still haven’t gotten a single major update for the game. Many fans have complained about the fact that there’s no major bug fixes, no New Game Plus mode, or Photo mode, or DLC, or even new accessibility options since its release. While there’s no denying it is a great game, however, Avalanche’s post release commitment to the game remains questionable.
In fact, many fans have stated how they won’t buy a sequel unless Avalanche releases some additional content for the original game. Well, there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the DLC including one which states something big will be revealed at The Game Awards 2023. However, none of them have been credible enough. Anyways, the above job listing surely confirms more Hogwarts Legacy content but in case they mean a sequel, then fans have a long wait ahead of them till they can get their hands of any new content.
As for the rumored DLC and what it may be about? Well there are tons of areas, enemies, and spells left to explore and the first thing that comes to anyone’s mind is Azkaban region. Adding the Azkaban region will allow the developers to include two most popular things Wizarding World is known for – the Dementors, and the Patronus charm. Not including Dementors and Patronus was probably the biggest missed opportunity by Avalanche. Throughout the game, you only visit Azkaban and encounter Dementors once, that too if you chose Hufflepuff. As for Quidditch, it is highly unlikely we’ll see a DLC around it, considering how Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is already coming out next year.
