2022 was meant to be a really big year for gaming but numerous delays for multiple titles has made this year a bit underwhelming. So far only Horizon Forbidden West, and Elden Ring are the only two among the most anticipated games of 2022 which made it. God of War: Ragnarok is all set to release on 11th November but fans believe it might get delayed. Hogwarts Legacy was another widely anticipated title for this year and its preorders began months ago, however today we have some unfortunate news for you guys.
Hogwarts Legacy Will Release on February 10, 2023
The Wizarding World is expanding further and owing to that, comes an action role-playing video game called Hogwarts Legacy. After the release of Fantastic Beasts 3, fans do not have much to look forward in the cinematic Potterverse for a few years. So, instead they are looking towards other Potterverse projects and Hogwarts Legacy is something they’ve been waiting for, since a long time. Hogwarts Legacy has been developed by Avalanche Software and published by WB and is set to release in early 2023 for PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Fans were impatiently waiting for Avalanche to finally reveal the release date for Hogwarts Legacy, and now that they have, it’s nothing if not frustrating. As some of you called before, the game has been delayed to next year. Devs took to Twitter to officially announce the release date for Hogwarts Legacy which is 10 February 2023. This marks the third major delay for the game as Hogwarts Legacy’s initial release date was set for 2021, however, it was later delayed to Holiday 2022.
“Hogwarts Legacy will launch on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The Nintendo Switch launch date will be revealed soon. The team is excited for you to play, but we need a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience,” @HogwartsLegacy tweeted.

There is no doubt this is a disappointing news for all fans however, Avalanche claims that it’s for the best as they want to create an ultimate gaming experience rather than rush things. Well, it’s quite understandable as fans would rather wait for a good game that face what happened with Cyberpunk 2077, which is still barely playable. Good news is that now we have a release date and we are just 6 months away now from experiencing the Wizarding World as closely as possible. This delay also makes sense from a tactical point of view as players would still be hung up on God of War: Ragnarok till Jan 2023.
