The Wizarding World is expanding further and owing to that, comes an action role-playing video game called Hogwarts Legacy. After the release of Fantastic Beasts 3, fans do not have much to look forward in the cinematic Potterverse for a few years. So, instead they are looking towards other Potterverse projects and Hogwarts Legacy is something they’ve been waiting for, since a long time. Hogwarts Legacy has been developed by Avalanche Software and published by WB and is set to release in late 2022 for PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. While the release date is still to be officially announced, we have some exciting information for you guys.
Hogwarts Legacy Release Date Leaked to be December 6
Hogwarts Legacy has been leaked to be released on December 6, 2022, which is barely a month after God of War: Ragnarok! The leak was shared by a user on the game’s subreddit and it is quite believable for a number of reasons the user specified. On the popular shopping portal Amazon, Hogwarts Legacy had a December 31, 2022 placeholder date. This date has now been changed from December 31 to December 6, as reported by customers who pre-ordered the art book at Amazon UK.
A thing to note here is that placeholders are generally dates towards the end of a particular month. So, changing it to a date like December 6 isn’t something that happens often and it directly hints towards an official release date. That aside, December 6 is a Tuesday and if you are gaming enthusiast you might know that most video games release on Tuesdays or Fridays. So, it all fits and completely makes sense.
We already were expecting a November end or December beginning release for the game. As for November, it has repeatedly been said that the game would release Holiday 2022 so, November release is out of the question. Add to that, God of War: Ragnarok’s release and it makes no sense for the game to come out in November.
Fans are quite excited about the game and this update will surely add to their excitement. After all, it is based on a universe we all grew up with. Also, as showcased by the trailers and gameplay videos, Hogwarts Legacy seems so detailed and every nook and corner of Hogwarts appears to be free to explore. This game could prove to be an absolute paradise for any potted-head or any open world RPG lover, for that matter.
