Sony’s PlayStation Showcase is one of the biggest gaming events that fans look forward to many months in advance. The 2023 edition of this event was always going to be big because it had been a lot of time since Sony made some huge strides in the gaming world. There were some announcements and trailer releases that we expected and also some surprises along the way. We all knew that Sony was building up to a huge PlayStation Showcase and now that it is here, it did not disappoint. While information about a lot of games was revealed at the showcase, the highlight of course, was Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer. As we reported earlier, we got a huge gameplay trailer which lasted over 12 minutes and revealed a lot of details and new features of the upcoming game. Unfortunately Sony didn’t tell us the release date of the game. However, three weeks after the showcase, we have the release date and along with it the pre-orders for the game are live as well.

All fans need to assemble right now as Sony has started taking in pre-orders for Spider-Man 2. You can buy the standard copy of the game, a Digital Deluxe version and the super-fancy Collector’s Edition. You will find the links for all at the end of this article. Also, if you’re wondering whether it is worth it to pre-order the game or should you wait till October so you have all reviews to make the right call then don’t worry, ordering the game now has its perks. Pre-ordering any version of the game will give you early unlocks for several in-game goodies and three skill points to get you started in the game.
You have to be extremely quick to secure a copy of this game right now as we all what happened with God of War: Ragnarok (sold out like hot buns). Sony also introduced the Collector’s Edition, which includes a voucher for the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game (detailed below), as well as a Steelbook case and a 19-inch statue of Venom.
