Sony’s original games are some of the best games ever made with loads of Game Awards titles to their names. One such game is Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) which was highly praised for its incredible VFX, open world, and insane swing mechanics which made users feel like Spidey themselves. Then, in 2020 we got its spin-off called Spider-Man: Miles Morales which was equally praised however was criticized a bit for its short length. Since then fans have been eagerly waiting Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 which is all set to release this year, probably during fall. Well, today we have an awesome update for you guys!
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Will Crossover With Spider-Verse!
Do you remember, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse? Yup the same film which won the Oscar for Best Animated Film and the one whose two planned sequels are about to debut back to back this year and the next. As it happens, it seems like the Marvel’s Spider-Man game universe and Sony’s animated Spider-Verse are going to crossover! The news comes from Insider @HipHopGamer as they have seemingly CONFIRMED that ‘Spider-Man 2’ will feature the SPIDERVERSE by taking and building upon the world shifting feature from ‘Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’.

This award winning journalist and gamer can of course be considered a reliable source of information and this update has gotten fans really hyped up. Some of the fans are wondering if the one of the post-credit scenes for ‘Across the Spider-verse’ could act as our first look at Insomniac’s ‘Spider-Man 2’. That would be really cool way to kick off their marketing and drive cinephiles to play the game and gamers to watch the film. Honestly, it makes perfect sense as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is all set to debut on 2 June 2023.
This would be the perfect time to provide fans with that trailer they have impatiently been waiting for. Well, this is purely speculation but what this insider has stated might turn out to be true. According to him, this is going to take the concept of Multiverse to a whole different level. He also stated that world shifting feature will be very open and fluid both graphically and gameplay wise. To further confirm this update, the recent trailers for Across the Spider-Verse have promoted Sony’s PS5 at the end. So, it seems like this is going to happen! As for the first full length trailer for the game, it will either be showcased at Sony PlayStation Showcase 2023 or alongside Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is all set to debut in 2023 and will feature multiple playable characters including Peter Parker, Miles-Morales and probably Venom too. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is all set to debut on 2 June 2023.
