The game was kept in dark for a long time before we got some information at Sony’s PlayStation Showcase 2023. Despite being such a huge success in the gaming community, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 didn’t win anything at the Game Awards this year. However, it looks like Insomniac, the studio behind the both the Spider-Man games, is developing a Venom game set in the same universe. How do I know this? I know it isn’t announced officially yet but thanks to a major hacking attack on Insomniac last night we have everything that the studio was cooking for the next five to eight years. In this article, we are going to go over their next big project – Marvel’s Spider-Man: Venom.

The game’s name, as mentioned above, will be Spider-Man: Lethal Protector. Only two images were leaked but they had enough information to go into full detail about Insomniac’s upcoming project. The events of the game will take place after Spider-Man 2 and is intended to lead the story into Spider-Man. The leaked image also details that you will be able to switch between Venom, Peter, and Miles while going through the “Carnage-infected NYC boroughs.” The leak describes the game as an 8-10 hours individual experience.

The game is supposed to include 12 missions 3 event bosses. Apart from of all this, optional content will also be available as quests, challenges, bases, crimes, and collectibles. The description sounds pretty similar to their mainline Spider-Man games. The image also reveals Insomniac’s plans for the game’s release and pricing. Venom: Lethal Protector is expected to release in the Q2 of 2025, with a price tag of $49.99. Just like other Insomniac games, it will be exclusively available to the PlayStation 5, and the game is going to be an action-adventure, similar to the Spider-Man games.
