The leak was shared by user u/TopRamanNoodl3s on the famous subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours. He first stated that this disclosure should be taken with a pinch of salt because it is only secondary information. He claims that an acquaintance who has worked for EA is the source of this information. Details of a Need for Speed 2022 game have been sent to him by his friend. Specific information regarding the effects, features, and character designs that will be employed in the game is revealed by the leak.
He discusses the cartoon and comic book effects in the upcoming Need for Speed game. When the player crashes his automobile into a lamppost or a pole and causes it to break down, these cartoon effects will start to play. A comic book-style “BANG” will then appear on the screen instantly. Additionally, he discusses tyre spins and how they replicate the action of the rear tyres by moving in a circular pattern instead of producing clouds of smoke.
He also discusses the return of Abandoned Car/Bait Crate Cop chases, in which players will be able to identify cars that might be stolen on their map. After the player has stolen the vehicle, a sizable number of police cars and SWAT vans will engage in a high-speed pursuit with him. Additionally, he mentions the addition of crash cams, which will be like the ones seen in the Most Wanted video game series.
The player will be able to make strange noises through their car and tease other players nearby, according to a new taunt feature. Finally, he talks about the character design inspiration used to create the game’s characters. He claims that a previous game, Need for Speed: No Limits served as inspiration for the characters’ visual aesthetic.
