Nintendo Switch 2 - New Console To Be Revealed Soon, Insider Suggests

When it comes to the world of gaming, there is no way you haven’t have heard of Nintendo. From legendary gaming series likes Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda to gaming consoles like Game Boy and Switch, Nintendo has always had a defining presence in the industry. Unfortunately though, Nintendo Switch hasn’t been really successful in most of the regions in the world owing to its compatibility and accessibility issues. Also, most of the games take to long to arrive on Switch as compared to other consoles like PS or XBox. So, fans of its original games, around the world are dying to receive a more accessible and well planned console. For such fans and Nintendo fans in general, we have some great news!

New Nintendo Console To Be Revealed in Upcoming Presentations

That’s right, YouTuber Mike Odyssey has claimed that previously reliable source(s) have told him that a new Nintendo console is to be revealed in June or September presentations. In the above video of approximately 10 minutes, Mike Odyssey claims to have heard from several sources of a big presentation that will officially announce the next Nintendo console. According to him, the reveal is planned to take place in either the June or September Directs.

He also claims one of the sources is the same person that contacted him about an April 12th Zelda Direct. This direct was for the purpose of showing off one last look at the game before release, but that did not happen. However, it was followed by the final trailer a day later. So, the reliability of the source is somewhat into question as even though he wasn’t completely right earlier, he did deliver partly correct information.

Anyways, if in case this is true and a new next gen Nintendo Switch console is going to be released, here what we expect from it. First of all, we’d like to see 4K resolution and a faster processing as the latest games are getting more and more demanding and the current Switch isn’t quite living up to them. Nintendo Switch 2 should also look into expanding the built in storage as 64 GB is basically a joke. Also, even if users plan to purchase a large microSDHC or microSDXC card up to 2TB, it costs them way too much, so much storage definitely needs to be looked into.

Moving on, the Joy-Cons feel too cheap and uncomfortable to hold for how much they cost and they definitely need to tweak them. The concept of Joy-Cons is quite incredible but they haven’t fully lived up to the idea yet. Lastly, Nintendo needs to work on the accessibility of games, payment methods, as well as customer support for almost all regions in the world other than Japan and US. For example, in India the payments systems do not work properly which results in users not being able to purchase most of the games and the support/repair for the console proves to be a nightmare.

So, if the rumors are true, we’ll hope that Nintendo implements these pointers in their new Switch console. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do share!
