Yes, we’re once again talking about Adipurush– the film that either everyone wants to talk about or none do. Ever since the first teaser of the film, the Indian audiences were prepared for an abomination as despite having a budget of Rs. 600-700 crores, the film’s visuals were absolutely abysmal. The makers delayed the film’s release by six months to improve the CGI but in all honesty nothing changed. However, thanks to a huge marketing campaign the film assured the public that barring the visuals there is nothing wrong with the film. Adipurush used faith as their shield and released in theatres. What baffles me is that after watching the film, the visuals were least of the worries because the other aspects of the film were so terrible. Mainly the dialogues.

It felt like Om Raut couldn’t make up his mind about the treatment of the film. He didn’t preserve the divinity of the sacred text as the lines given to Lord Hanuman were from any cheap Hindi masala film (tapori language). After facing huge backlash despite several explanations offered by Manoj Muntashir (film’s writer), the makers finally took the call of changing the dialogues. Well, here they’re in action.

Adipurush Changes “Jalegi Bhi Tere Baap Ki” Dialogue!

In order to appease the audience, the makers of Adipurush had assured that the controversial dialogues in the film would be altered as their intention was never to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments. The makers of the film applied to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for the replacements. Under Rule 33 of the Film Certification Rules, the CBFC agreed to the request and endorsed the edited dialogues. The change in dialogues were in effect from yesterday’s evening screenings. Here is the list of the revised dialogues:

Tu andar kaise ghusa..tu janta bhi hai kaun hoon main – Tum andar kaise ghuse..tum jaante bhi ho kaun hoon main.

Kapda tere baap ka, toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki – Kapda teri Lanka ka, toh jalegi bhi teri Lanka.

Jo hamari beheno…unki Lanka laga denge – Jo hamari beheno..unki Lanka mein aag laga denge.

Mere ek sapole ne tumahre iss sheshnaag ko lamba kar dia, bhara pada hai – Mere ek sapole ne tumhare iss sheshnaag ko samapt kar dia, bhara pada hai.
