If you’re living in India then your entire feed is corrupted by content based on Animal movie (review here), written & directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Just like Vanga’s last venture, the film boasts an ‘A’ rating thanks to the abundant if not unnecessary violence and profanity in the film. However, despite all the criticism the film has faced, no one can deny the storm it has caused at the box office. For an adult film, the film sure has shattered all the possible records. I would definitely call the film a successful outing, not just monetarily but also for being indelible on the audience. Like we’ve had two 1000 crore films this year but I don’t think either of them have had such a strong response from the audience. In fact more than lead star Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri are gaining so much attention.
Both individuals share little screentime in this three and half hour long saga and yet have become the talk of the town. While we’re all aware of Lord Bobby, who is Tripti Dimri? Has she worked in something before? What’s her next project? Let’s find out.
Tripti Dimri’s Next Is Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam!
After her on screen presence reached the masses, Tripti has become a pan-India sensation. Everyone in the country wants to learn more about her and masses are quite excited about her next production. As you may already know, Tripti Dimri is 29 years old and has already led two Netflix films Bulbbul and Qala helmed by Anvita Dutt Guptan. Other than that, her credits include Poster Boys, Laila Majnu, and Mom. The actress was born in Delhi and studied in Sri Aurobindo College before pursued acting in Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
Moving on, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam is officially Tripti Dimri’s next film which is directed by Anand Tiwari and stars big names like Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal, Angad Bedi, Neha Dhupia, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Amy Virk and Sheeba Chadha. The film falls under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film officially wrapped filming on July 3rd 2023, confirmed by Neha Dhupia who shared a selfie of the cast on Instagram and wrote, “It’s a wrap!!!!!! See you at the movies”.
Original plan for the film’s release was this year in August, however, the post production took longer than expected, as the final cut was not locked for a long time. By the time the film was ready, it was too close to another Vicky Kaushal film- Sambahadur. So, Dharma took the call delaying the film until 2024. No official theatrical release date has been mentioned but some reports claim a February. The film will also reunite Vicky Kaushal and Anand Tiwari after their 2018 romantic outing called Lover Per Square.
The plot of Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam is kept under wraps for now. We’ve received no official footage from the film. We have no clue if Dimri is starring opposite to Vicky or someone else. The extent of her role is also not revealed. All we know is that she is associated with the project and Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam will be her immediate release after Animal.
