Bhooth Bangla: Trailer Out Now, Akshay Kumar Stuck In Another Spooky House

Bollywood fans, grab your popcorn and holy water because the kings of comedy are back. Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan finally reunited for their latest venture, Bhooth Bangla. This marks their first collaboration in fourteen years, ending a long wait for fans who grew up on classics like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The trailer just dropped on April 6, 2026, and it is exactly the kind of chaotic energy we have been craving.

A Wedding With Extra Guests

The plot centers on Arjun Acharya, played by Akshay Kumar, who returns from London to the town of Mangalpur. He arrives at a lavish, sprawling bungalow to orchestrate a family wedding, but the house has other plans. The trailer introduces a thousand-year-old demon named Vadhusur who is currently squatting in the property. While Akshay is hell-bent on finishing the wedding preparations, the housemates deal with paranormal activities that are more hilarious than horrifying. It is basically every desi wedding ever, just with a few more ghosts and a lot more screaming.

The OG Squad Is Back

Priyadarshan did not come alone for this reunion. He brought the entire comedy brigade with him. Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and even the late Asrani appear in prominent roles, creating a massive wave of nostalgia. Seeing these legends share the screen again feels like a warm hug from the mid-2000s. The trailer shows Paresh Rawal warning Akshay about the property while Rajpal Yadav brings his signature frantic energy to the haunted halls.

Surprises And New Faces

While the old guard handles the slapstick, the film features some heavy hitters and fresh talent. Tabu joins the cast as a major surprise element, marking her reunion with Akshay after twenty-five years. Her character remains mostly under wraps, but her presence adds a layer of mystery and intrigue to the madness. The ensemble also includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, and Jisshu Sengupta, ensuring the film appeals to every generation of moviegoers.

If you cannot wait for the official release, you are in luck. Early paid previews begin on April 16, 2026, starting from 9 PM onwards. The wide theatrical release follows the next day on April 17. The makers originally planned for an earlier slot but moved the date to avoid a clash with the box office juggernaut Dhurandhar: The Revenge. This strategic shift gives Bhooth Bangla the breathing room it needs to dominate the horror comedy space. Get ready for a mix of jump scares, iconic one-liners, and the return of the real Akshay Kumar comedy era.
