Bullet Train Ryan Reynolds Cameo Scene Leaked Online, Watch Here + Quick Review

Bullet Train is the latest American neo-noir action comedy thriller film which has been directed by David Leitch, and written by Zak Olkewicz. The film is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle (published in English as Bullet Train) by Kōtarō Isaka. It recently got into a controversy of not having enough Asian actors even after being based on a Japanese novel, but such controversies are a part and parcel of production. Anyways there was immense hype around this Brad Pitt starrer and for the most part it proved to be a fun ride. Following is a quick review and attached within is the clip to Ryan Reynolds’ cameo in the film. Enjoy!

Bullet Train – Watch the Ryan Reynolds Cameo Here

Bullet Train Trailer Brad Pitt Action Is Basically Brad Pitt's John Wick or Nobody

Bullet Train had a few flaws here and there and its story line wasn’t quite compelling. But that was quite expected from it and I went in thinking that it would be a brainless action film much like John Wick series, or Nobody. But unlike John Wick or Nobody, it failed to present an interesting world, set up, or as much stylized action. So, it ultimately proved to be forgettable with quite less and short action sequences than expected from it. But yeah, it was really fun from start to end and Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree, and Hiroyuki Sanada left a bit of impact. Brad Pitt on the other hand delivered a cool performance but his character was too much like a classic Ryan Reynolds character. That’s what’s fun about this article!

Ryan Reynolds had a secret cameo in the movie where we got to know that Brad Pitt’s character was actually filling in for Reynolds’ Carver. Have a look at the cameo below!

So yeah it pretty much feels like Brad Pitt did fill in for a role that belonged to Ryan Reynolds. Anyways, Ryan Reynolds’ character was named Carver, an assassin who killed White Death (film’s big bad)’s wife which stirred the plot of Bullet Train. This proved to be unfortunate for Ladybug (Pitt), as he was never meant to be on the train and was just doing the task meant for Carver. Carver took a personal day and all that led to White Death getting frustrated at the end and trying to kill Ladybug anyways.

Interesting thing to note here is that Reynolds once again played role of an assassin which has sparked many jokes on Twitter. Another running joke about this cameo is how Brad Pitt filled in for Ryan Reynolds just like his character did in the film. Getting back to my quick review, I feel there’s nothing particular that needs to be discussed about this film. Everyone knows its flaws and everyone knows its strong points, so I’ll just talk about how it could have been better.

So, first of all, if you are going to make a brainless action flick, learn a thing of two from John Wick and Nobody. Both these films presented a compelling lead character who used to be OP back in their days. Brad Pitt’s Ladybug failed to be a compelling lead and seemed like a side character. Secondly, I expected a lot more and lot longer action sequences with much more style and invention. The action in Bullet Train was largely uninventive and hence, unimpressive.

Most of the time we just followed characters from one carriage to the other with not much happening. Similarly, in many moments tensed build ups were done but the sequences ended with a few hands thrown around or a simple gunshot. So, I’d call Bullet Train a failed opportunity even after being quite fun and interesting at times. However, committed performances from the cast and a unique setting for the film, made Bullet Train a one time watch for all action lovers out there!
