Christy is a biographical sports drama about boxing legend Christy Martin, brought to life by Sydney Sweeney. Directed by David Michôd (and co-written with Mirrah Foulkes), the film doesn’t sugarcoat the tough parts. We see Martin’s rise from small-town West Virginia to international boxing fame in the 1990s — and also the darker, very personal fight she wages outside the ring, including a deeply complicated marriage-turned-dangerous.
The movie made its world debut at TIFF on September 5, 2025, and officially hit U.S. theaters on November 7, 2025.

If you didn’t catch Christy in cinemas, don’t worry — your couch is calling. According to multiple reports, including Forbes, Christy is set to arrive on premium video-on-demand (PVOD) platforms on December 9, 2025.
On that day, you should be able to buy or rent it through popular stores like Apple TV (or iTunes), YouTube, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home.
