Dune 2 CinemaCon Trailer Leaked Description - Breathtaking and Menacing

Dune: Part Two is as the title suggests the sequel to the wonderful Dune: Part One that came out in 2021. The film was in my opinion the best film of 2021. To adapt Frank Hebert’s unfilmable masterpiece is a big deal. Only a talented filmmaker like Denis Villeneuve would’ve been able to do something like. Even David Lynch tried to bring Herbert’s sci-fi saga to life but failed miserably. One big decision that helped Villeneuve achieve this is to divide the first into two parts. Despite being light on action Dune: Part One was very successful with audience and critics alike. It released in 2021, when the Covid-19 restrictions were still active and despite that the first film managed to generate a massive profit at the box office. Warner Bros. is setting CinemaCon on fire. Along with The Flash trailer they have also showed the audience in attendance the first trailer for Dune 2.

Dune: Part Two Trailer Sounds Amazing!

According to Variety, Warner Bros. showed the fans at CinemaCon the first footage from Dune: Part Two. The trailer begins with Florence Pugh’s Princess Irulan before we see Paul Atreides riding a giant Sandworm in the middle of the beautiful Arrakis desert. Timothee Chalamet revealed at the convention that the sandworm was a 100% practical. We see Paul and Zendaya’s Chani together talking about swimming when they’re in the sand dunes. Deadline reported that Paul asks Chani to form an image of water in her mind.

He says, “It’s breathtaking, just imagine water.” Rebecca Ferguson’s Lady Jessica is quickly shown afterwards. We see some footage that reveals Princess Irulan is in the middle of a political game as she talks about the secrets that lie within Arrakis still, “In the shadow of Arrakis lies many secrets, but the darkness to all of that is what remains.”  Elvis star Austin Butler finally debuts as Feyd Rautha with a crazy look on his face. Discussing Film described Rautha’s look as  “completely bald and pale” and added details such as “extremely menacing and almost monstrous.”

Javier Bardem returns from the first film. He has a look of shock on his face. There are a few scenes where we follow him that are shown in complete black and white. After which we see Chani kissing Paul and saying,  “You will never lose me, Paul Atreides.” Another line of dialogue says “We gave them something to hope for” before we finally see what we waited two years to witness- Paul and Rautha battle each other out with their knives. Discussing Film also revealed that Dune: Part Two picks up where its predecessor had left.

Dune 2 adds even more faces into the fold, including Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Christopher Walken as Shaddam IV and Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot. Dune: Part One is available for streaming on HBO Max or Amazon Prime Video depending on the region where you live. Dune: Part Two premieres exclusively in theaters on Nov. 3, 2023.
