So I watched Fast X in theatres and trust me it was not at all my kind of film but the kind of trash films (John Wick Chapter Four and Beau Is Afraid) that have gotten overwhelming love this year has annoyed me. So, infact for me, Fast and Furious 10 was one of the most wonderful times I’ve had in theatres this year. I’ve said this before and I’ll say this again, the film might’ve been illogical but it was definitely entertaining. A lot of that credit goes to Jason Momoa’s villain. Despite the global criticism of the franchise, I think it is safe to say that there is a loyal horde of fans across the world, for whom these films are their religion. Well, good news for them is that the second installment of the three part finale has gotten a release date as well.
Fast and Furious 11 Is A Long Time Away!
Fast X was made on a massive budget of $340 million and despite its humungous fanbase the film only managed to earn $617 million until now. Which is not that great. The film will barely turn in a profit from its theatrical run. However, the tenth installment’s collection pushed the franchise over $7 billion worldwide. I think this is exactly the reason why despite the lukewarm response, Fast and Furious 11 release date has been announced meaning we will get at least another Fast and Furious movie.
The film was made available on Digital just after 21 days (record low) after its theatrical debut. Despite all this negativity Vin Diesel announced on Instagram that Fast and Furious 11 will release in theatres on 4th April 2025. That means the film will kick-off 2025’s summer. The production of the film has already been completed as it was shot alongside Fast X.
The film stars Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Rita Moreno, Jordana Brewster, Scott Eastwood, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell and so on.
