Indiana Jones is the brainchild of two of the most revered filmmakers of the golden era of Hollywood- George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. The film series started right after the success of Star Wars and the first film of the series Raiders of the Lost Ark was milestone in cinema and it is still considered to be a classic that hasn’t aged a day since its release. Harrison Ford was the face of this franchise and this simply boosted his star power which he’d gained after Star Wars. The next film is the franchise was Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom which was once again helmed by Steven Spielberg. Just like the original one the sequel was met by great critical and box office success. The trilogy ended with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. The franchise ended on a great and all the films in the trilogy were excellent films.
Harrison Ford was having a dream run in films as whatever he did basically turned into box office juggernauts, it seemed as if the man can do no wrong. The franchise was asleep for more than 19 years before Spielberg made another movie in 2008. However, that film did not do as well as the previous films- neither with the masses nor with the critics. The franchise once again was asleep for a while however, it has surfaced again as after 12 years we’re getting another Indiana Jones movie with Harrison Ford reprising his famed role. The guy is in his 80s and yet he is starring an action adventure. There was a lot of skepticism around the film as fans thought the film will ruin the Indiana Jones franchise. There were reports that Ford would de-aged for the film this led to further negativity around the film.
However, as the trailer for the film has been released at the Brazil Comic Con, it has managed to overturn fans skepticism as the trailer has had an extremely positive response online.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Trailer Promises An Action Packed Ride!
This is the first Indiana Jones film which is not directed by Steven Spielberg but the film is in hands of a very capable director – James Mangold. The one who directed The Wolverine, Logan, Ford vs Ferrari, Identity and Girl, Interrupted. All his films that I’ve seen are an absolute delight and he is one of the better directors working today to helm a film like this. The film stars Harrison Ford of course but along with him the supporting cast includes, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Shia LaBeouf and Antonio Banderas.
The trailer of the film looks very interesting but the most fascinating part of the trailer has to be the de-aged Harrison Ford. The initial skepticism regarding the de-aging has been cleared as the de-aging tech is absolutely spot on. Seeing this, Twitter has erupted and we have some reactions of fans who are loving this de-aging tech.
Twitter user @sam_berghammer has commented, “Oh my god. Im so in. The de-aged Harrison Ford looks a little weird and there seems to be alot of it, but still, Im in.”

Twitter user @hunterharjo7 said, “Indiana Jones 5 looks so good, trailer alone captures the magic that felt missing in Crystal Skull. Also the de-aging CGI on Harrison Ford in the flashback scene looked scarily good. This has gotta be on my most anticipated movies list”
