After Neo, John Wick might be the most famous character Keanu Reeves has ever played. The Matrix star played John Wick in the 2014 Action/Thriller film and since then has become a fan favorite. The film did wonders critically and at the Box Office as well. As much of the credit of that goes to Keanu Reeves, the film too was extremely gripping and introduced us to a new world. A world unknown to us until now- the world of assassins. The film started on the point that Wick’s dog had been murdered and after that it is a sheer bloodbath. The film had two follow ups where we see Reeves reprising his role as John Wick and both installments continued the success march John Wick has had. John Wick: Chapter 4 is part of the two part finale the creators have planned for Keanu Reeves’ character.
The 4th addition to the franchise couples Keanu Reeves with his Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne. After a brief tease of the film at last year’s CinemaCon, Lionsgate has released an official image of Keanu Reeves as John Wick. The image was delivered via text, to fans who had signed up for updates from the studio over the course of the last year or so, after a brief tease sent out via text earlier in August. John is still on the run from the world of assassins and is likely to have some of the large-scale consequences. A class war has been caused because of John’s actions between the different factions of the assassin community, all this is evidently shown in the trailer which is absolutely spectacular.
John Wick Chapter 4 Trailer – The Boogeyman Returns!
The trailer has a beautiful soundtrack associated to it which lends it a biblical and soothing tone. The trailer doesn’t necessarily give out any plot details, and I mean who watches John Wick for the plot? We watch to see Keanu kick some ass in his 50s wearing a suit. The trailer does reveal all the members of the cast that we’ll be dealing with mainly Bowery King played by Laurence Fishburne, Bill Skarsgard’s new villain called The Marquis de Gramont, Ian McShane’s Winston, Donnie Yen’s Caine, Hiroyuki Sanada’s Shimazu and Scott Adkin’s Killa.
From the trailer it looks like just like the other films, Chapter 4 will see John running around to save himself from some big shot from the assassins world. This might finally be the movie where John finds some peace as he has been running around the world since his dog got killed. The trailer suggests that the movie will be the biggest of the franchise when it comes to scale and action. Its budget is definitely higher than the previous three installments. Chapter 4 will be a two-part finale to the John Wick saga, so expect an Infinity War like cliffhanger at the end of this film.
