Kung Fu Panda Reviews!

After a silent two months, March is striving to get 2024 back on track. The month is off to an epic start with Dune: Part Two. For many people, the sequel will end up to be the best film of the year. Well, if you’re not a Dune kinda guy then don’t worry. March has something else in store as well – Kung Fu Panda 4, the fourth instalment in the infamous animated franchise. Generally, a fourth film of the franchise won’t be a good one, however, Kung Fu Panda has managed to preserve its quality across the three films. Is it the same case for the fourth film? Let’s find out as the early reviews for Kung Fu Panda 4 are out now.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Early Reviews Are Positive!

As expected, the early reviews for Kung Fu Panda 4 are positive. Of course not as overwhelmingly positive as Dune 2’s reviews but definitely good enough for a kids’ movies. Read the reviews below:

Laura Sirikul (critic)“Was ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ necessary? Prob not, but it’s an adorable film to continue Po & his future successor’s stories. It’s funny & was a good full circle regarding the film’s villains of before. It’s great for future generations who are parents now who watched the first, like ‘Toy Story'”

Rama’s Screen“‘KFP 4’ was awesome! It didn’t disappoint me at all. The fights & the animation this time also looked more electric. Viola Davis was deliciously sinister as the villain. Awkwafina’s Zhen was sly & Jack Black’s Po once again rocked! Skadoosh!”

Rafael Motamayor“Met the Dragon Warrior! ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ continues to show that this franchise has the best action in American animation, but I was very surprised by how fun this movie’s buddy cop dynamic is.”

Tessa Smith (Mama’s Geeky) “‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ is a ton of fun! Jack Black is as hilarious & lovable as ever, Awkwafina is a wonderful addition, and the two of them together are fantastic! Stunning animation & incredible action sequences, plus a worthy story that sets up for more!”

POC Culture “I got to see ‘KUNG FU PANDA 4!’ New cast additions like Awkwafina, Viola Davis, Ronny Chieng, Ke Huy Quan & Lori Tan Chinn are great fun. It has many of the elements that fans of the franchise will love, including the trademark irreverent humor.”

In addition to Jack Black, the movies also star Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Seth Rogen as Mantis, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Lucy Liu as Viper, David Cross as Crane, James Hong as Mr. Ping, Awkwafina and Randall Duk Kim as Oogway. The film is set to be directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Stine, with the former having previously helmed high profile animated projects such as The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and Shrek Forever After.

Kung Fu Panda 4 will be released in theatres on March 8th, 2024.
