Kung Fu Panda 4: Release Date, Trailer, All You Need To Know About It

Kung Fu Panda is one of the most famous characters that Dreamworks has ever produced. The furry fighter debuted in 2008 and was an absolute hit with the audiences as he was both determined and naive, not to forget loveable. Much of the credit should go to the beautiful animation and Jack Black’s voice. Just like Shrek, Po also resonated with the characters and wanted to see more of him. As the film was a blockbuster, the studio made a sequel in 2011 and then threequel in 2016. This shows you the popularity of the character with the audience. Many people thought that the franchise came to an end in 2016 as a trilogy but Dreamworks soon announced that there is indeed more story to explore and a fourth part was in the works. This is everything we know about it.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Is In The Works!

Jack Black was present at Universal Pictures’ panel at CinemaCon and he shared some plot details about the upcoming installment of the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Jack revealed, “Po leaving the Valley of Peace to go to the big city, where the unexpected personification of evil will already be waiting for him. A new villain, called The Chameleon, is in town, and the Dragon Warrior’s new adversary is not someone he can mess around with. What makes this new adversary particularly dangerous is their ability to summon enemies from Po’s past, which have included one of Master Shifu’s (Dustin Hoffman) previous students and a crane (Gary Oldman) that wanted to get rid of pandas once and for all. Besides dealing with the burden of facing his strongest enemy yet, Po will have to look for a replacement, as he knows that he can’t be the Dragon Warrior forever.”

After 2016, Dreamworks were not aware whether they’ll make another big screen adventure for Po so they focused on other franchises. This gave the franchise a chance of growing on television. The latest adventure of Po was on Netflix called Kung Fu Panda: Dragon Knight.

In addition to Jack Black, the movies also star Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Seth Rogen as Mantis, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Lucy Liu as Viper, David Cross as Crane, James Hong as Mr. Ping, and Randall Duk Kim as Oogway.

Kung Fu Panda 4 will be released in theatres on March 8, 2024.
