Land of Bad is a new action/thriller movie directed by William Eubank that stars Russell Crowe, Liam Hemsworth, Luke Hemsworth, Ricky Whittle and Milo Ventimiglia. The official synopsis of the film reads, “A Delta Force team is out to extract a CIA agent. The mission goes bad and with the help of a drone operator (Russell Crowe), they fight their way into the jungle against a little army of Islamist terrorists (in the Philippines) who luckily can’t shoot straight.” The actioner hasn’t had the best critical reception or box office opening. So, if you don’t want drag yourself to the theatres to watch this film then don’t worry, here’s when you can watch it at home.
Land of Bad Online Release Date Revealed!
According to a new listing on dvdreleasedates, Land of Bad will be available for purchase or rent on digital and VOD platforms like Vudu, Apple iTunes and Amazon Prime Video from March 19th, 2024. This will make for a 32-day theatrical-to-digital release window for Land of Bad which is definitely not the worst we’ve seen so far.
There is no update regarding the film’s DVD and Blu-ray release date. As the film is distributed by The Avenue we can predict Land of Bad’s streaming debut as well. Looking through past releases from The Avenue, the theatrical-to-streaming windows have ranged from 117 to 217 days:
- The Tiger Rising – January 21, 2022 – May 18, 2022 (117 days)
- Slayers – October 21, 2022 – February 19, 2023 (121 days)
- Medieval – September 8, 2022 – April 7, 2023 (211 days)
- One True Loves – April 7, 2023 – November 10, 2023 (217 days)
Based on this huge spectrum, Land of Bad may start streaming from mid-June to mid-September 2024, making for a likely release sometime this summer. Starz is always the preferred streaming partner for the films distributed by The Avenue. The distributor often releases its films for streaming almost immediately after their digital debut.
Given that Land of Bad has been given an extended theatre to digital window, it shows that the distributor has more faith in the William Eubank directorial. Here are a list of movies distributed by The Avenue and their digital to streaming window:
