The Mission Impossible Series is one of the most famous franchises of Hollywood. Tom Cruise is the face of the entire franchise. The first film of the franchise released in 1996- Mission Impossible. That movie was adapted from a TV show of the same title. The show started in 1966 and ran for 7 seasons. After the success of the first film the sequels just kept coming. Some were done well others were cash grab movies that exploited the success and craze of the first film. The first 4 films in the franchise were directed by different directors. However, the fifth film was helmed by Christopher McQuarrie and apparently he did such a good job that the franchise has stuck with him ever since.
He directed the next film in the franchise Mission Impossible: Fallout and now he is going to direct the possibly last two films of the franchise – Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two. These two films were supposed to conclude the franchise and give a proper send off to Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and it looks like director Christopher McQuarrie is going all out in the penultimate installment.
