Tom Cruise’s beloved spy franchise, Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning Part 1 had its full trailer leaked to social media just a few hours ago. The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the previous installments of the franchise, Rogue Nation and Fallout. The film stars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby and Simon Pegg as part of the main cast.
The Trailer Circulated on Twitter
It’s exactly unknown on how the trailer leaked online. The full trailer circulated on Twitter before the links were met with copyright infringement and taken down. Paramount is quick in its response to control the damage. A trailer of Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning screened exclusively at CinemaCon last month i.e., on April 28, 2022, including an introduction by Tom Cruise filmed while he was flying in a biplane. It’s currently unclear if this two-minute trailer is the same as the one screened at CinemaCon. There’s also speculation that Paramount is planning to release the trailer attached to Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick, which is scheduled for May 27, 2022.
The description of the footage stated Tom Cruise doing more risky stunts in the franchise like hanging on to a plane that flies over a South African canyon, more Motor-Cycle chases, a horse chase which is its first for the franchise, and a cliff jump in Norway. Previously, actor Simon Pegg (Benji) confirmed some of Cruise’s stunts in Dead Reckoning terrified him.
Plot and Release Date of Mission Impossible 7
The plot of Mission Impossible 7 is currently unknown, but the makers confirmed that Dead Reckoning Part 1 and Part 2(Mission Impossible 8) are going to be a send-off to Ethan Hunt. Maybe Tom Cruise doesn’t want to keep playing the role into his 60s.
Paramount initially planned to shoot both Dead Reckoning Part 1 & 2 back-to-back, before scrapping that plan due to the COVID pandemic and decided to concentrate one film at a time. Dead Reckoning part 1 had filming shutdown multiple times and release delayed four times. Paramount decided to give its slot this year to Tom Cruise’s another film Top Gun: Maverick due to the last delay of Dead Reckoning.
Dead Reckoning part 1 is currently scheduled to release on July 14, 2023 while Dead Reckoning part 2 is scheduled to be released on June 28, 2024. Meanwhile, all previous Mission Impossible films were available to stream on Paramount+
