Kartik Aaryan might be one of the most leading names of the Bollywood industry from the current generation. The actor doesn’t belong to any big family and is completely self-made. Aaryan rose to stardom with his many Luv Ranjan ventures like Akash Vani, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. As the entire film industry was in a slump, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 lifted the entire nation’s spirits and was a blockbuster. 2023 certainly hasn’t started as per the star’s liking as his first 2023 movie which he also produced, Shehzada was a huge box office failure. His next venture Satyaprem Ki Katha with Kiara Advani was marketed as the biggest musical blockbuster of 2023. However, all the songs released by the makers have been underwhelming but their most recent release is absolutely trash.

Satyaprem Ki Katha: How Many Remakes Are We Going To Get?

Pasoori Nu is originally a Pakistani song that blew up on the internet due to its distinctive beats. The music video of the song was also shot beautifully and it certainly had a theme to it. I’m awestruck by the choice of the makers to release this remake to hype up the music for the film. This is what happens when the music album of a film is done by five separate artists. For a film marketed to be the musical blockbuster of the year it is really underwhelming to see them releasing such a cash grab remake.

There has been a saturation of remake songs from T-Series in the recent years. From time to time audiences are pissed whenever they use a classic song to hype up a film and make an absolute mockery of it. At first it were only Indian songs but now it seems like T-Series isn’t shy to remake songs from other countries as well. T0 start off the remake version doesn’t hit as the original one. Even the new music video is so generic while the original video had a certain theme and taste to it. However, the remake just seems like a cheap music video.

Another point to consider is that India had completely shunned Pakistan ever since the URI attacks of 2016. Artists like Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Fawad Khan, etc. Indian cricket team would not play the Pakistani team on our home turf or go to their land and play the sport. This resulted in a disruption in the private lives of many people. While I’m not questioning the politics of the decision taken, I’m simply pointing out the hypocrisy where we completely ban Pakistan but then our biggest music producer company remakes a Pakistan original song? I mean that’s a new low for T-Series now. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this situation. Please comment below.
