The official trailer post includes the tagline: “Things won’t be simple anymore.”

Starting in 2019, Amazon Prime Video collaborated with creator Dallas Jenkins to develop the show, the first multi-season series portraying the life of Jesus as a historical drama.

At the end of the third season a diverse crowd including Arabs, Jews, and Greeks, engages with Jesus who address their concerns and performs the miracle of multiplying barley loaves and fish to feed thousand.

The official logline for Season 4 reads: “Clashing kingdoms. Rival rulers. The enemies of Jesus close in while His followers struggle to keep up, leaving Him to carry the burden alone.” In Season 4, viewers can anticipate significant developments. Julia’s storyline may take an evil turn as hints of his betrayal of Jesus emerge. Shmuel’s potential alteration of heart and the outcome of Gaius’s son being healed. Moreover, Atticus is expected to play a significant role, likely as the Roman soldier who declares Jesus as the Son of God. John the Baptist’s narrative may take unforeseen turns, and Joanna’s increased participation with the group could follow revelations regarding Salome.
