The Old Man Renewed for Season 2

Jeff Bridges spy thriller, The Old man which is based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Perry and aired on the cable service FX, is renewed for season 2. The news comes off as a big surprise as viewers and fans had expected the show goes in the direction of being a miniseries, adapting the whole book in a single season. The series created by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine premiered on June 16, 2022. The first season consists of 7 episodes.

The Old Man Season 2 Details

The show’s renewal comes off as three episodes (Click here for review) of the season were aired and the spy thriller has reported a strong viewing in its first two weeks. It’s currently unclear if Season 2 of The Old Man follows a new original storyline from the book, or the current season adaptation of the novel will be incomplete.

The Old Man Series Episode 1 and 2 Review

Creator Jonathan Steinberg and executive producers Littlefield and Shotz said the following in a statement:

The Old Man is also confirmed to be the most watched cable tv series for the network FX since 2021. It was also the top rated FX series on Hulu during its opening weekend.
