Releasing on Agatha Christie’s birthday, A Haunting in Venice is Kenneth Branagh’s sequel to Death in Nile (2022). Previously, Branagh adapted Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile. A Haunting Venice is based on Agatha Christie’s 1969 novel Hallowe’en Party. The story is set in 1947; former detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh) has retired since the events of The Nile. He must solve the year-old murder mystery of a guest at a Venice séance he attends. The event takes place on the eve of Halloween in a palazzo that was an ancient orphanage. The cast includes Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Dornan, and Jude Hill, among others. American historical crime drama film Boston Strangler is directed and written by Matt Ruskin. The film is based on the true story of the Boston Strangler who killed 13 women in 1960s Boston. Turkish film 10 Days of a Good Man makes a statement about the nature of virtue and morality. The film features a few irresistible characters – Sadik (Nejat İşler), Fatma (İlayda Alişan), and Meral (Şenay Gürler), who are not afraid to stroll on the edge. A Mind to Murder (1995)
Scotland Yard Commander Adam Dalgliesh has been off duty following the death of Ds Sarah Hillier, a member of his team. He is summoned to investigate the murder of the Director of the Steen Clinic, which specializes in psychiatric cases. Adam and his team fail to fathom why they’ve been assigned to a clear murder case. Suspects are many and as Dalgliesh loves to say, the motive for murder is inevitable greed or love. The film is based on P.D. James’s novel of the same name. Directed by Gareth Davies, the film stars Roy Marsden (Adam Dalgliesh), Mairead Carty (Sarah Hiller), Sean Scanlan, and Robert Pugh, among others.
