The summer is over and fall is here. Hollywood just had one of the best summers in a longtime thanks to Barbenheimer. Despite many big budget movies underperforming, this summer has generated a total revenue of approximately $4.028 billion. The most since the summer of 2019, which hit $4.34 billion thanks, in part, to The Lion King and Spider-Man: Far From Home, which each eclipsed the billion-dollar mark globally. There was a 16.6% hike in ticket sales helping Hollywood to go back to pre-pandemic levels for the first time in 4 years. Since, we finally have some normalcy given that the strikes are also ending, I think we’re all prepared to have an eventful October. The Halloween season is here and the list of movies lined up cannot be better.
The Exorcist: Believer – October 6th
The Exorcist: Believer is the first part of the three sequels planned of the original The Exorcist which will include The Exorcist: Deceiver in 2025. It is the direct sequel to the cult classic The Exorcist (1973). Even though I don’t like the original film, I can imagine what a sequel to The Exorcist can be with modern sensibilities and technologies. If you want to truly enjoy a horror film then the best way is to watch the film on the biggest screen possible so that you’re totally invested in the motion picture.
