Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead in Oscar Fan-Favorite Row as Fans Go Crazy

As you might be aware, this year the Academy is hosting a contest called the Oscar Fan-Favorite. To tie in with the ceremony’s theme of “Movie Lovers Unite”, the Academy teamed up with Twitter. Users can vote for their favorite film of the year and their favorite movie moment, with up to 20 submissions each day per user. All you have to do is tweet your favorite film and moment with #Oscar Fan Favorite. The contest went live on February 14, 2022 and will end on March 3, 2022. The catch here is that only U.S. users’ submissions will be recognized.

Netflix’ Army of the Dead Coming Strong

Many fans were bummed that Zack Snyder’s Justice League wasn’t entitled as a submission for the contest but fans are fans. Nothing stops them, hence, they have chosen Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead as their champion contender. And just like that, within in a day, Army of the Dead made it to the top positions of the contest with over 25k votes.

Up until now Amazon Prime’s Cinderella was leading the contest. But with a sudden one day 18k surge in the numbers of Army of the Dead, it seems like it will dethrone everything pretty soon. Zack Snyder has a cult following and his fans have a pretty over the top approach when it comes to him. But hey, that’s what the fan-favorite contest is all about. So, it will come as no surprise if Army of the Dead even wins the contest. If you are in the U.S. region, do not forget to vote for your favorite film of the year. Until next time!
