A Quiet Place 3 Release Date, Cast, Plot and More

It is not overstating it to say that A Quiet Place is one of the best modern horror/thriller films ever made. The concept, the anxiety, the plot, and the nigh invulnerability of the enemy made it one of the most impactful films of the past decade. The film was so critically acclaimed and successful that it went on to become a franchise. A Quiet Place 2 came just two years after the original and impressed as much as the first entry, being even more suspenseful than the first one during some sequences. Owing to the sequel’s success we are now getting two more films, a prequel called – A Quiet Place: Day One, and The Quiet Place 3, which would be the next instalment in the main franchise.

When Will A Quiet Place 3 Release?

First of all, for those who are unaware, A Quiet Place 3 has been officially confirmed. It was announced by creator John Krasinski during Paramount Investor Day in February 2022. At the time, the film was slated to be released in the year 2025 and from the looks of it, it seems quite achievable. Although it shouldn’t be expected anytime before that. The reason for this that that currently Krasinski is busy with his upcoming fantasy comedy film IF (Imaginary Friends) starring himself, Ryan Reynolds, and reuniting him with Steve Carell.

IF is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 24, 2024, by Paramount Pictures and only after that will Krasinski shift his entire focus to A Quiet Place 3. Much like the first two films, this instalment is also supposed to be co-written and directed by John Krasinski and hence, we expect its filming to begin only by the end of 2024 or earl 2025. However, this wait would not be that hard as Michael Sarnoski’s A Quiet Place: Day One is scheduled to be released theatrically on March 8, 2024. Although, Krasinski has nothing to do with this film, it is based in the same universe and even includes Djimon Hounsou who will reprise his role as the Man on the Island.

A Quiet Place 3 Cast and Plot

At the end of A Quiet Place 2, Regan and Emmet managed to replace the signal being broadcast from the safe haven island with that of her hearing aid. This frequency made the aliens vulnerable and thanks to that, Marcus and Evelyn got the better of the alien hunting them as well. Not just that, the frequency will probably save a lot of people hearing this transmission as now they are equipped with the knowledge of the aliens’ vulnerability. Anyways, it was quite clear that now Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds would likely lead the franchise with Blunt and Murphy in supporting roles.

However, question needs to be asked that would it make up for as thrilling a survival narrative as the first 2 parts, now that everyone knows about the aliens’ weakness? Or would it turn into an all out humans vs aliens war kind of movie? Guess we’ll find out soon enough. Moving to the crew and cast, In 2021, Emily Blunt that Krasinski is actively working on a third instalment, separate from the spin-off movie, with intentions to once again serve as director. Later she also confirmed that Cillian Murphy was fully invested in the project as well. “Well, Cillian [Murphy] and I were having a chat with John [Krasinski] about it last night. We were sitting on a rooftop all together drinking wine and… (pretends to act drunk), ‘You know what would be great? Is if we keep this thing going…’ I think there’s… it would have to be that we would all do it together.” The full expected cast for A Quiet Place 3 is as follows:

  • Millicent Simmonds as Regan Abbott
  • Noah Jupe as Marcus Abbott
  • Emily Blunt as Evelyn Abbott
  • Cillian Murphy as Emmett
  • John Krasinski as Lee Abbott in a flashback cameo

A Quiet Place 3 is slated to release in 2025. while A Quiet Place: Day One is scheduled to hit theatres on March 8, 2024. The first two movies are available for streaming on Paramount+
