Brahmastra An Epic Trailer To Stop the Bollywood Hate

Brahmastra, stylized as Brahmāstra – Part One: Shiva is shaping up to be the biggest event in the history of Indian Cinema. The Indian Hindi language superhero fantasy adventure film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced under the banner of Dharma Productions. The film will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy of the cinematic universe called Astraverse. It is a very ambitious project with a 300 Crores budget for first film itself, which was delayed almost 5 years. But now it is all set to debut this autumn and the marketing is now at full swing. Brahmastra full trailer was released a few hours ago and I can’t get more of it!

Brahmastra Trailer Is The Best of Bollywood in Years

Never have I ever been so hyped after watching a Bollywood film trailer as I am after watching this one. Don’t believe me? Check it out yourself.

The trailer is absolutely bonkers with visuals and CGI like Indian Cinema has never seen before. I could barely find any moments in the trailer where VFX weren’t great. Same is my opinion about the sound design, the Sanskrit Shlokas, and powerful voices of Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna. The chills inducing trailer hints at the storyline of the film which has been inspired from Hindu literature and involves harnessing the power of our 5 main elements. These five main elements in Hindu religion are Vayu (Air), Jal (Water), Prithvi (Earth), Aakash (Sky), and Agni (Fire). As seen in the trailer, Fire is being embodied by Ranbir Kapoor’s character called Shiva.

Similarly, rest of the cast will embody other elements and then there is Mouni Roy who is embodying the dark forces of nature. Fans also claim to have seen Shah Rukh Khan in the Lord Hanuman scene that briefly appeared at the beginning but that might not be true. Next being Astraverse, it is the story of Agni Astra which is revealed to be embodied within Kapoor. Astra in Hindu Literature means a weapon that is released by hand with a particular aim, so Agni Astra basically means he’ll have complete control over the fire element once he learns how to harness it. And then of course, there is Brahmastra, the most powerful weapon in Hindu Literature, which is the weapon of Deity Brahma and is something everyone in this movie is after.

Judging from the trailer, the sequels might feature a different lead who’ll symbolize a different element. But let’s wait for it. Time To Stop The Bollywood Hate

Brahmastra Shah Rukh Khan's Role, Trailer, Release Date, Plot, and More

The haters of Bollywood are increasing by the day, and we are to be blamed for this. Indians these days are getting increasing critical of Bollywood and tend to boycott or trash Bollywood movies even before their release. I am pretty sure people might be calling Brahmastra trailer names like poor man’s Marvel, or unnecessarily trying to nitpick stuff to prove their hatred. But I think it is high time now. I agree that in past few months, we haven’t seen many good Bollywood films (barring parallel cinema) but that doesn’t mean your hate is justified. When you say “Bollywood is shitty and has nothing to offer,” ask yourself if you even looked enough or in the right place?

Bollywood has, is and will keep delivering some of the best cinema in the world, but our filmmakers need your support. Trashing movies because of petty issues in the trailer is definitely no way to go about it. To people who will compare certain elements in Brahmastra trailer with Marvel, or DC, I ask, what do you know about Hindu ancient Literature, and how much? If you do, then you won’t draw comparisons as even though some action sequences might be inspired from Hollywood, Brahmastra’s concept is purely based on Hindu Literature and the characters and philosophies preached by the Hindu Religion.

When an ambitious project like Brahmastra is about to debut, we have a duty to support it not pull it back. Only then can Bollywood grow to the levels you want them to achieve. They can’t directly make an Avatar level film in the first shot as progress starts small. And honestly, this doesn’t look small at all and the visuals presented by the trailer were at par with Hollywood trailers. If you want my honest opinion, its CGI and Visuals look much better than the Black Adam trailer which I am sure you must have loved. So, all I ask from you guys is to stop the Bollywood hate and start giving such movies a chance. It’s not a compulsion that you like it, but at least be open minded about it.

Brahmastra arrives in theatres on 15th June 2022, and it would be really appreciated if you support this ambitious project as well as its sequels.
