Hugh Jackman donned the role of Wolverine in 2000’s X-Men. While his casting as Weapon X caused a backlash in 1999, his portrayal of the Marvel Superhero was both praised by the critics and loved by the fans. The actor reprised his role as Logan another 8 times since his debut. The actor’s run as the Marvel character finally came to an end in 2017’s Logan. The actor reportedly begged the studio to kill his character and his beautiful journey. Logan (2017) one of the best Superhero movies of all time, where many suspected that it may enter the Oscar race.
Since, his retirement the actor did appear in another film as Wolverine. Deadpool 2 (2018) feature a scene of the actor as Wolverine but that scene was one of the deleted scene of 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The scene was only accessible as an archival message. However, recently Hugh Jackman tweeted an image of himself that has fan speculating and many confirming that the actor will reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 – Photo confirms Hugh Jackman’s Return?
Deadpool 3 was originally developed by Fox however, through the recent Disney acquisition of the studio, it is Marvel Studios who will be developing the film. Yes, the film will be set in the MCU. The writer of the film recently revealed that Deadpool 3 will be a fish out of the water film as the character will be in the MCU. The image tweeted by Hugh was him looking at his phone, flabbergasted. Fans were quick to see this as a clue. There is no caption to the tweet, simply an emoji that frankly has the same reaction.

Deadpool 3 director- Shawn Levy has previously worked with Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project and Free Guy. He has also worked with Hugh Jackman on the film Real Steel in 2012. Levy had mentioned long back that wishes to work with both actors together on a film. “I’m not going to say where and how, but I absolutely will confirm my intention and determination to be the lucky son of a ***** who puts those two magnificent gods in the same movie together,” Levy said back in March 2022. “That will happen and that will be me.”
So far Deadpool 3 only casts Ryan Reynolds and Leslie Uggams. Zazie Beetz and Morena Baccarin, who played Domino and Vanessa, respectively, in the franchise, have mentioned previously over their doubts regarding their inclusion in the 3rd film.
Deadpool 3 doesn’t have a release date as of yet.

WHY COULDN’T THEY CALL FOR WOLVERINE TO HELP THE AVENGERS IN STOPPING THANOS HIS AN AVENGER RIGHT ?
Well, technically Wolverine doesn’t exist in this universe, that is the MCU as of yet. Now, he might be introduced in the coming years as Disney has recently acquired FOX that means all the Marvel characters Fox owned are now Disney’s. Wolverine is a X-Men but he has been a part of the Avengers in the comics. He was not in the fight against Thanos because he simply didn’t exist in the universe as Marvel didn’t have rights to use him.
