Dragon Ball Super Manga’s latest arc officially began with Chapter 88 and is being called the “Super Hero” Arc. Granolah Arc, which began back with Chapter 67 has effectively ended with Chapter 87 in August which also brought an end to the battle between the Saiyans and Gas as a part of the Granolah Arc. The Super Hero Arc itself has been divided into two arcs Super Hero prequel arc and the Call Max Arc. The prequel arc concluded with Chapter 90 and chapter 91 – 95 basically covered the first 70 minutes of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. This month we’ll be getting Chapter 96 and that is exactly what this article is about as the first drafts of the chapter have been revealed!
Dragon Ball Super Manga Chapter 96 Drafts and Summary
Dragon Ball Super Chapter 96 Summary and draft pages are now out as provided by @DBSHype. The leaks and spoilers for full chapter will be added in a whole new article on 17th-18th August. So stay tuned with us for this week to not miss any update on DBS Chapter 96!
As you can see, the drafts basically continue the story almost exactly like the Super Hero movie. It just adds a few additional dialogues which give us more insight into what’s happening on screen. The drafts continue the story from Chapter 95’s ending sequence where we saw beaten Piccolo falling down the gorge as he remembers Shenron talking about “throwing in a bit extra”. They cut to Trunks, Bulma, and others talking about what just happened.
But suddenly, we see everyone’s faces go pale and surprised alongside Dr Hedo and Gamma. Yes, they are amazed at Piccolo as he has now transformed to his Orange Piccolo form and looks more menacing than ever. Seeing this Gamma 2 leaps forward and starts hitting him but to no affect as Piccolo doesn’t even shake from his place. Then we see Piccolo’s close fist rise in the air and this is where the drafts end. Those of you who have seen the movie know what awaits you next.
One extra detail to note here is that Piccolo has God Ki in his Orange form. This doesn’t come as a big surprise as fans discussed this some time ago on social media. Dende’s God Ki is still developing, maybe that’s why they’re able to sense him. But Piccolo’s full of God Ki as his power comes directly from Shenron, a godly being. Also, that Ajisa Tree Symbol theory works now as it explains Piccolo being a God, and now it’s been hinted at. DBS Chapter 96 Release Date and Time
As per info provided by trusted sources, Dragon Ball Super chapter 96 is expected to be released on Monday, August 21 in the monthly V-Jump issue. As you may know DBS is serialized in Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine which is released on the 21st of every month, barring a Sunday or holiday. When DBS chapter 96 comes out, fans will be able to read it on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and Viz Media’s Manga Plus site. The international release time for the manga series’ upcoming chapter is expected to be the following:
- Pacific Time – 8 AM
- Eastern Time – 11 AM
- British Time – 4 PM
- European Time – 5 PM
- India Time – 8:30 PM
- Philippine Time – 11 PM
- Australia Central Time – 12:30 AM
