Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, unlike most DB anime, features Gohan and his alter ego Great Saiyanman in the lead. Gohan returned to the action in Dragon Ball Super’s Universe Survival Saga and we have some high hopes for him from here. There is no doubt in the fact that Gohan is one of the most powerful characters in Dragon Ball franchise and he has proven his might from time to time. But in the recent interview with the Dragon Ball creator, he was revealed to be the strongest of all.
Dragon Ball Super: Gohan is the Strongest Z Fighter, Period!
The Official Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Twitter Account shared a new interview with Akira Toriyama, where he revealed that he considers Goku’s son to be the strongest hero amongst the Z-Fighters. Even though he still doesn’t have the God-like powers his Dad and Vegeta have, he is still a force to be reckoned with.
“Gohan is actually stronger than anyone…or so it’s said, but lately he hasn’t really gotten a chance to shine. In order to motivate Gohan, it takes his revered teacher Piccolo rather than his father Goku. I figured I’d try giving birth to a new superhero by putting these two in the spotlight through their intense battles with the Gamma androids.”, he said when asked about Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Honestly, this comes as no surprise and the fans, including me, have always rooted for him. After all he was teased to be the strongest Saiyan and the only Z fighter who can surpass Goku and Vegeta, ever since the first saga of Dragon Ball Z. His raw power became overwhelming for Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, and Frieza and after focused training and transformation he made a joke out of Cell and Super Buu. But ever since, Dragon Ball Super, he saw a downward journey and was denied the Ultra Instinct transformation which he deserved more than anyone else on the show. You can read my little rant on the subject here.
So, it is really good to hear that Gohan might finally be getting his due. We really want to see him surpass Goku and Vegeta once and for all, and that too without the gift of Godly powers. I mean he went toe to toe with Goku Super Saiyan Blue Kiokenx20 and survived, so he already is quite powerful. With a little more focus and motivation, he will surely surpass everyone else.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is all set to debut on 11th June 2022 in Japan.

I think in Toriyama’s mind, Gohan is strongest.
But in Toei, they want it to be Broly.
Personally, I think they are Broly-tards.
I like Broly but he is just a copycat of Gohan.
If you read what he said it’s a word called “anyone”. That doesn’t say he is stronger then “everyone”. While i feel Gohan is the strongest Z fighter which he is that. Goku isn’t really a Z fighter as they never even state he is part of that group. Goku and Vegeta both are always stronger then Gohan because they are full blooded sayians. Gohan is half so what makes him more special then Trunks or Goten or Bra? Which are all half blooded as well. Those 3 characters don’t get the spotlight. Trunks only get mentioned because of his future self.
The main problem is that Gohan can’t get god ki. As only a full blooded sayian from what we saw can only basically do it. Plus with Gohan being a dad during his point he try to give up on fighting so he can raise Pan. Which we all know he fails at being a dad because in GT even if it’s not canon she only ever listened to her mom. So i don’t see that changing as Gohan just doesn’t know how to deal with woman.
If you look Gohan was always the strongest Z fighter ever since he went ssj 2 against cell. Against super buu he couldn’t even kill him which showed a lot of weaknesses to Gohan. His main weakness is Piccolo always being around. If Piccolo gets attack or anything he is always distracted and then gets a beat down. If you take that away during his fights then he would not have to hold back. While Piccolo has been trusted by Goku to always keep Gohan safe no matter what. People would feel like Piccolo was always like his dad but again people forget that Piccolo was to protect Gohan. This is because Goku died by the hands of Piccolo because Raditz had Gohan. Yes Goku who went to go save his own son even at the cost of his own life against a unstoppable enemy. Every time Goku fought it was to keep his son safe until one day Gohan had to take his place at saving the world. Once Gohan did that is when Goku didn’t need to run to his rescue anymore. Gohan was strong enough to take care of himself. Just that Piccolo was always watching and eventually told him he shouldn’t fight. Which Gohan listened to him and we ended up with a weaker Gohan until DBS. Where Gohan realized that his dad was right and was always there to help him. That is when he fought his dad and pushed himself to a higher point. This is where Goku realized that Gohan is doing great without Piccolo in his way and that one day he will reach his full potential. Yet that is just it. In this movie he is at his peak. Gohan can’t reach anything higher. So is Gohan just stuck forever because he reached his full potential or can he break through to something else.
