The most over-the-top and meme worthy FAMILY of Hollywood is back with its 10th main installment and the 11th overall one. The Fast and the Furious franchise is one of the most successful franchises in cinematic history as it has grossed over $6.6 billion worldwide. What started out as a niche racing car franchise has now turned into one of the biggest Hollywood cash grabs. As you may know, Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker are the face of the franchise but there’s another actor who became a very crucial and inseparable part of the franchise. Yes, I am talking about Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock who has been a major part of the franchise from Fast 5 to The Fate of the Furious as well as the spin-off Hobbs and Shaw. Well, after being absent in F9, he has now returned in Fast X!

A few days ago, we reported that Dwayne Johnson will return to the main timeline of the Fast and Furious franchise after almost six years. This news was extremely shocking as everyone was aware of Johnson’s six year long public squabble with Diesel and how he swore he’ll never return to the franchise. In November 2021, Vin Diesel took to Instagram where he practically begged Dwayne Johnson to return to the Fast & Furious franchise (main timeline) but he denied and accused Vin of being manipulative. Anyways, The Black Adam star will make an appearance in the post-credits sequence for the upcoming “Fast X” and we have a leak for the same. So, proceed forward with caution.
The above post credit scene for Fast X showcase a shadowy figure with a mask on, revealing himself to be none other than Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs! As it happens he is on a call with Jason Mamoa’s Dante Reyes who is saying that Hobbs shot his father and he seeks revenge. You might remember that in Fast Five it was Hobbs who put the final bullet into Hernan Reyes’s skull and hence it makes sense that his son Dante has Hobbs on his hit list. Anyways, upon hearing this Luke Hobbs delivers a cool line – “Well, I am not that hard to find ###”
So, even though I am not a huge fan of the franchise, I understand what Luke Hobbs’ return means for the fans as well as the franchise. Dwayne Johnson is probably going to be a major part of the final installment of the saga – Fast X: Part 2. Fast X stars Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Rita Moreno, Jordana Brewster, Scott Eastwood, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell and so on.
Fast X is scheduled to hit theatres on May 19, 2023.
