FBI Season 6 Updates, Release Date, and More

FBI is one of those rare series on TV which have managed to deliver a new season every year since they aired. The show first aired with 22 episode season back in 2019 and has had 5 seasons so far. In fact the longest that fans had to wait was 7 months between season 2 and 3. With a weekly airing format it has provided fans with continuous content however, this streak is under threat of breaking owing to the delays SAG-AFTRA strikes have caused. So, if you are a fan and are looking for updates on FBI Season 6, you are at the right place as this article consists of all details you need to know.

FBI Season 6 Release Date Updates and Cast

FBI Season 5 debuted on September 20, 2022 and ended its 23 episodes run on May 23, 2023. While you might think the show has limited audience, Season 5 was actually viewed by 9.52 Million viewers. Although the show was expected to return maximum by November 2023, that sure didn’t happen due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes. However, the good news is that, while many of us expected it to be delayed quite a lot, that is not going to be the case. In an exciting development, Deadline has revealed that CBS is hoping to bring FBI Season 6 to the airwaves sometime in mid-February or early March 2024.

However, there’s a catch, which is that Season 6 will aim to have a 13-episode slate. While Seasons 1-5 consisted of anywhere from 15 to 23 episodes, this comes as a bit of a bummer. But it is understandable considering the delays that WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes caused. If the strikes end sometime in the next couple of weeks, FBI will still have about three to six weeks of preparations, which means filming might begin by November or December. However, if the strikes do not end and the production gets delayed to January we can still expect a 10-episode season. Any further delays might push the release to Q4 2024 when Season 7 is supposed to be released. As for the expected cast of season 6, check the following list:

  • Zeeko Zaki as Omar Adom “OA” Zidan
  • Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine
  • Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille
  • John Boyd as Stuart Scola
  • Taylor Anthony Miller as Kelly Moran
  • Vedette Lim as Elise Taylor
  • Katherine Renee Kane as Tiffany Wallace
  • James Chen as Ian Lim
  • Roshawn Franklin as Trevor Hobbs
