Okay drop everything you’re doing, this news is worth it. Even if you’re not into gaming, it is impossible that you haven’t heard of God of War. If no then you probably live under a rock. The God of War Franchise is one of the biggest and most popular gaming franchises. The first game in the franchise was made back in 2005. After its instant success the game was getting only bigger and bigger. The video game was an action-adventure hack and slash crusade. It was developed by Santa Monica Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was made specifically for Play Station 2 because well Sony… While the game is first in the franchise it is actually 3rd chronologically. Once God of War became a household name, the franchise expanded over different formats with over 8 games under its belt.
The 2018 reboot to the franchise was the breath of life the game seeked for and it got it. The stellar review rejuvenated the craze of the game and despite being a hefty and daunting adventure, left the fans wanting more. Sony was quick to capitalize on this and was quick to announce that they will be making a follow-up to the reboot. However ever since the this announcement it has been a slow burn for fans as there seemed to be no significant updates on the game’s release. Many fans began theorizing. the game’s development being halted for some reason. Although, unofficial updates did keep the fans hopes alive as they patiently waited for a big development for God of War: Ragnarok and I think their wait has finally paid off.
God of War: Ragnarok Coming Out this November?
So after over 4 years fans are overwhelmed by seeing that God of War: Ragnarok’s official trailer is out with a release date but first let’s talk about the trailer. The game based on Norse Mythology features Kratos, the protagonist as he scuffles to ward off a horde of monstrous adversaries. His now-grown up son, Atreus, enters with bow in hand. The trailer ends with the two withdrawing close as they peer into the blue at a elephantine wolf-like creature.
The trailer concludes on this note and that creature is presumably Fenrir, from Norse Mythology. We even saw a version of it in Thor: Ragnarok. The ones who’re aware or played till the end of 2018’s God of War and recollect the huge reveal, it’s worth bearing in mind that the mythical figure Fenrir has a connection to the legendary character who was the capitol of that reveal. The sequel being titled, “Ragnarok,” suggests as an apocalyptical or end times moment in Norse mythology. When the old gods were decimated and the world descends a time of darkness afore a great renewal.
God of War: Ragnarok is set to release on Play Station 5 and Play Station 4 from November 9th 2022. This good news came to us a few hours ago. If you’re the person who likes collecting limited editions of things well then Sony has something for you. In a separate trailer released, it highlights the “Jötnar Edition” of Ragnarok. This includes among various other things, a miniature replica of Thor’s hammer.
Behold, a god’s hammer. God of War Ragnarök Jötnar Edition comes with a 16" replica of Thor's hammer.
