It has been over 9 years since the last Grand Theft Auto video game came out and fans have righty run out of patience in the past few years. Ever since GTA Vice City launched in 2002, the GTA series has been a sensation. Additionally, GTA V went on to become one of the greatest games of our time. Therefore, GTA VI or GTA 6 is highly anticipated, and owing to that in February 2022, Rockstar confirmed they’re developing GTA 6. Since then there have been a ton of leaks and the internet blew back in September as there were some massive leaks, which you can check out here. Today, we have some important information for you guys which will surely get you hyped!
GTA 6 To Potentially Release In 2024 As Per Official Documents
As you may know, Grand Theft Auto publisher Rockstar Games is owned by Take-Two Interactive which has foreseen a major turning point in its next fiscal year. According to latest data, Take Two has projected a total net bookings between $5.45 to $5.55 billion for the entire fiscal year 2024 (April 2023-March 2024). However, the interesting thing is that, Take-Two CEO and chairman Strauss Zelnick has suggested that, “We remain confident that we are positioning our business for a significant inflection point in fiscal 2025, which we believe will include new record levels of operating performance.”
This is in line with the earnings call in May, where Zelnick called fiscal 2025 “a highly anticipated year for our company”. He claimed they would be “launching several ground-breaking titles we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in net bookings and over $1 billion in adjusted unrestricted operating cashflow”. It won’t take an expert to analyse that one of these ground-breaking title Take Two is referring has to GTA 6, which is one of the most popular, hyped, and profitable video game series of all time.
This basically confirms that we will surely be getting GTA 6 in fiscal year 2025 which is between April 2024 to March 2025. We expect a fall 2024 release date which also coincides with a lot of leaks and rumors we have heard in past year. This also means that a GTA 6 official reveal trailer is on the cards and we can have it as soon as Fall 2023! So, gamers, it’s time to get hyped again, as the game you’ve been waiting for all these years, is now almost here!
