Guardians of the Galaxy still remains one of the best MCU films ever made with a lot of heart, humor, and badass moments. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 followed the footsteps of Vol. 1 and once again presented a refined piece of superhero cinema. The franchise has gathered millions of fans and everyone is quite excited for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. So, it’s finally time to gear up for a new adventure and this adventure would mark the introduction of one of the strongest Marvel characters there is – Adam Warlock. But at the same time, it will also mark the end of certain beloved characters. Now that the film is barely a week away, the leaks are getting out of hand and this article consists of the post credits scene of the film which has leaked!
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Mid Credits Scene – Rocket Leads A New Team
The concept of post credit scenes have been consistently used and popularized by Marvel Cinematic Universe and there is barely any film in the MCU which does not feature at least one post-credit scene. So, you might be asking how many post credit scenes are there in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. The answer is that like most MCU films, GOTG 3 will feature 2 post-credit scenes. The description of one of these scenes follow below so read at your own risk, as you’ll encounter MASSIVE SPOILERS.
Post credits scene 1 or the mid credits scene goes like this. We are introduced to a new team which has Rocket Raccoon as leader and consists of Groot, Kraglin, Adam Warlock, Phyla-Vell (played by Kai Zen), and Blurp. You heard that right, Star Lord, Gamora, Nebula, and Drax won’t be a part of this team however, Star Lord may return in future as the message once the move ends reads, “The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return”.
Anyways, the team is on a desert like planet taking to natives who make them aware of a problem they are facing. But they all instead start talking about music where Adam Warlock shares his favorite song and then refers to Rocket as “Captain”. Rocket plays his favorite song and the team start jamming to it when suddenly they see a horde of beasts approaching. They are all pump up for battle and Groot especially looks pretty bulky in this sequence. Rocket delivers the attack command and they all charge towards the approaching horde.
So, this particular scene plays mostly as a gentle reminder that the Guardians team that we knew is not dissolved and instead we’ll be moving forward with a new team. Also, this new team might be called the Annihilators instead of Guardians of the Galaxy. Unlike this mid credit scene however, the post credit scene doesn’t hint about the future of GOTG but instead in a sweet and funny one which ties an old thread. Check it out here.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is all set to release in theatres worldwide on 5th May 2023.
