How Do You Live First Official Images Surface Online, Check here

Studio Ghibli is synonymous with some of the most ethereal visual experiences when it comes to animated cinema. From touching storylines that leave us feeling extremely warm, like Ponyo, to absolutely devastating movies like Grave of the Fireflies, the animation studio has been branded as one of the best contributions to world cinema from Japan. The man behind Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, is known for being one of the founding fathers of Japanese animation, and animation worldwide. He is the mind behind some of the biggest Studio Ghibli classics, including Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away, which won the Academy Award for Best Animation Feature. Now, at the age of 82, Miyazaki has released his final film – How Do You Live

The feature, in a rare move when it comes to the books of marketing, has not been advertised, besides the release of a singular version of the poster. There are no trailers, no marketing campaigns, none of what you expect from the generic promotional chain of events. Yet, the theaters are filling up very rapidly, with people calling it extremely moving, and one of Miyazaki’s masterpieces.

Now, finally, people are able to catch a glimpse of the movie’s first images included in the recently released pamphlet – provided to moviegoers in Japan who went to watch the film. The movie, which is based on the Japanese novel of the same name, apparently takes its own liberties and creates a different creative universe of its own.

How Do You Live will be released in the United States soon, under the title “The Boy and The Heron”. It is yet to be known when that shall be so, but we hope for a worldwide release as quickly as possible, moreso because Japanese critics are naming it one of the pinnacles of Miyazaki’s work, and another Oscar win might also be on the cards.
