After a huge time gap finally this week we got the trailers and information about our most anticipated Hollywood movies and TV shows. So get on the Hype Train and without any further ado, let’s begin!
Black Widow
Marvel Cinematic Universe fans get hyped up as the final trailer for Cate Shortland’s Black Widow has arrived! Check it out the down below
Ever since Far From Home came out in July 2020, Marvel fans have been sitting ducks as the TV shows were mostly cancelled and there was nothing much in store for them until Black Widow and now its very close. With just 5-6 weeks until its release, Marvel Studios dropped its final trailer on 9th March revealing a few more details about the film. With every new trailer, the film is becoming more and more action packed and we finally got a pretty good look at the main antagonist, Taskmaster, who is literally one of the most powerful hand to hand combatant in the Marvel comics and I seriously think Black Widow is no match for him. Other than Taskmaster, the trailer didn’t reveal much but it sure pumped us up a lot and expectations are rising with every new trailer. Well, there is no reason not to watch it if you are comic book movie lover, so buckle up as Scarlett Johansson starer, Black Widow hits the theaters on 30th April, 2020 in India, one day prior to its global release!
Greyhound
After an Oscar nominated performance in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019), Tom Hanks is back with yet another World War II film – Greyhound. Instead of being a Captain like in Saving Private Ryan, Captain Phillips or Sully, this time he is portraying a Commander of an entire Allied naval fleet! Leading his first ever mission, he unfortunately faces the biggest and longest battle in Naval history that is The Battle of Atlantic. The first trailer for the film is nothing short of magnificent showcasing the massive scale of the film and incredible audio and visual experience. I can already feel it in my guts that Aaron Schnieder’s Greyhound is going to be incredible experience worth taking. The official Indian release date is yet to revealed but it releases in US on 12th June, 2020.
New Mutants
A film whose first trailer arrived sometime in October 2017 has been pushed further and further away ever since due to the Disney-Fox merger is finally all set to release on April 3, 2020 (fingers crossed🤞). The film is based on Marvel’s X-men comics which will possibly be the last film in the X-Men franchise under the banner of 20th Century Fox. Josh Boone’s New Mutant is the first attempt exploring the horror genre within superhero genre and showcases characters like Magik (Anya Taylor Joy), Suspot (Henry Zaga), Canonball (Charlie Heaton), Mirage (Blu Hunt), Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga) and Wolfsbane (Maisi Williams) as the new generation of mutants.
Jungle Cruise
Seriously, is there any way that we can skip a year without having a Dwayne Johnson jungle movie? I don’t think so as after Jumanji: The Next Level, Dwayne is all set to take a cruise to yet another jungle but this time the jungle belongs to Disney. Jungle Cruise looks like a typical Disney adventure film which is high on budget and relies heavily on CGI. Disney today is basically a money making giant which can find inspiration for a film from basically anything, in this case a theme park ride. On the plus side though, it would be fun to watch Emily Blunt play this kind of a role and break her thriller genre niche. Jaume Collet-Serra’s Jungle Cruise is set to hit the screens near you on 24th July, 2020.
No Time To Die Delayed
Too much Hype is not good for health so I’ll end this with a bad news. Cary Joji Fukunaga’s No Time to Die has been delayed yet again, this time due to the contagious Coronavirus which has literally shook the entire world. Its been five years since the last Bond film and nine since the last good one. Bond 25 was highly anticipated as it is the final film featuring Daniel Craig as Bond and its music composer is none other than the legendary Hans Zimmer but unfortunately fans will have to wait a bit longer. It was set to release in April 2020 but has been pushed further and though the status of its release is not official yet, it would now come out sometime in November 2020. Till then, stay safe and no matter how big a cinema fanatic you are, avoid visiting theaters and screenings.
And that’s all we have got today on Hype Train weekly roundup. Stay tuned for more updates on your favorite cinema and drop your suggestions in comment section below.
