Fans are extremely hyped as the classic adventure franchise of the 80’s is back once again with Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones! The fifth installment in the franchise is being helmed by James Mangold of Logan (2017) fame. The film is currently scheduled to release on June 30, 2023 and the filming concluded earlier this year in February, 2022. Ford’s character of Indiana Jones will pass the torch to some younger protagonist to continue the spirit of adventure and lead further movies in the franchise. As for Indiana Jones 5, we delivered some bad news last week surrounding the leaks as they suggested a really bad film. But today we have some good news for you guys as the title of the film has apparently been leaked!
Behold Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny!
According to @Throwmethewhip on Instagram, a fan very dedicated to the franchise and reliable, the title is Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The report comes from a reliable fan account which is known for posting authentic news and updates about the Indian Jones franchise. The user isn’t a leaker per say, and has claimed that got this update confirmed by various sources linked to the film. That is what makes us pretty sure of it as accounts which go by the banner of leak accounts are proven wrong many times. However, an account that deals with official news and updates are mostly right about such stuff.
All that aside, one of the pictures shared by Empire magazine shows Phoebe Waller-Bridge holding some kind of dial. So, that further supports the revelation. Also the user was constantly posting certain hints regarding the title since a week including acronyms and what not. But in the end it is up to you guys whether to believe it or not. We find it pretty convincing but until it is official, everything is just a theory.
Alongside, Harrison Ford as the titular character, John Rhys-Davies is returning as Sallah, with new cast members including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, and Antonio Banderas. Film’s official plot summary reads the following:
“Indiana “Indy” Jones is an American archaeologist and adventurer. By 1969, Indiana lives against the backdrop of the Space Race and has started to feel doubts about the U.S. Government due to their recruitment of former World War II enemies in desperation to beat the Soviet Union out in the competition. Meanwhile, Voller is a NASA member and ex-Nazi involved with the moon-landing program who wishes to get the film’s MacGuffin so he can correct some mistakes from the past and rectify the world into a better place as he sees fit. Jones’s goddaughter, Helena, accompanies the archaeologist on his journey.”
