Prime Video just dropped the first official images from Invincible Season 4, and fans are already buzzing. The stills give us a closer look at brand new villains, returning heroes, and the escalating chaos that awaits Mark Grayson when the show premieres March 18, 2026, on Prime Video. The animated adult superhero series continues to adapt Robert Kirkman’s comics with brutal action, big emotional stakes, and a growing ensemble of characters.
Big Bad Energy: Thragg Takes the Spotlight
The newest batch of images puts Grand Regent Thragg front and center. This is the big villain fans have been waiting to see animated. In the comics, Thragg is one of the strongest warriors in the Viltrumite Empire and a terrifying opponent for Mark and his allies.
Actor Lee Pace voices Thragg in Season 4. The images show him in dramatic, space-faring scenes that signal major trouble for Earth and the heroes trying to protect it. If you thought Omni-Man was intense, Thragg looks like the kind of guy who would take your lunch money and then lecture you about evolution.
Dinosaurus: Raw Power Meets Eco-Ambition
Another villain revealed in the new images is Dinosaurus. This bad guy is a master science geek turned monstrous dinosaur-powerhouse.
Matthew Rhys voices him in the show. In the comics, Dinosaurus was a human scientist named David Anders who transforms into a massive red dinosaur that fights for causes he believes will help human evolution — even if his methods are extreme. The images tease intense battles between Invincible and Dinosaurus. You can totally hear the roar in your head already.
Universa: New Cosmic Threat With a Twist
Universa makes her animated debut in Season 4. Voiced by Danai Gurira, this alien warrior brings a new kind of challenge to Earth’s defenders.
Unlike typical villains who just want destruction, Universa’s mission has layers. In the comics, she comes to Earth to harvest energy to save her own world. That puts her at odds with Mark and Atom Eve, but it also raises questions about what makes someone a villain versus someone desperate enough to risk everything. One of the Season 4 stills even shows Atom Eve landing a punch on Universa, which is kind of peak animated superhero drama.
Returning Faces and Cosmic Scale
The sneak-peek images also include familiar heroes. Steven Yeun is back as Mark/Invincible, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man, and even Allen the Alien shows up in space scenes. The contrast between human struggles and cosmic battles is one of the reasons Invincible keeps winning fans. It’s not just about punching bad guys.
