Atlee is one of the most renowned filmmakers of South Indian cinema. His most recent collaboration is the highly anticipated film Jawan with Bollywood’s biggest star – Shah Rukh Khan. The prevue and trailers for the film hyped it up to be one of the best films of the year. Shah Rukh Khan was presented to us in the most massy avatar we’ve ever seen of him, even more than his previous venture Pathaan. After, Gadar 2 I think Jawan is the only Hindi film with such unprecedented hype. The film is supposed to break every record of Hindi cinema on day one. So, is this Atlee directorial the best of Shah Rukh Khan and the creator? Or is it just another forgettable outing as Pathaan which only works because of Shah Rukh Khan’s presence. Well, let’s see what the critics have to say on this action heavy mass film which are generally critics’ kryptonite.

Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the film stars Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Priyamani, Yogi Babu and Vijay Sethupati. The film is written and helmed by Atlee Kumar.
