If you are even a little but into cinema, you probably know what a force of nature Martin Scorsese is. The 9 time Oscar nominated director has directed 25 full-length films, most of which are some of the highest rated and most critically acclaimed films of all time. So, its no wonder fans impatiently wait for his new ventures and after 2019’s The Irishman, he is coming back to the big screen with Killers of the Flower Moon. It is a western crime film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Di Niro who’ll be seen together for the first time since 1993’s This Boy’s Life. Both these legendary actors frequently collaborate with Scorsese as De Niro has collaborated with him 10 times previously and DiCaprio having done so 6 times previously. But this is the first time all three of them have collaborated are fans are already going nuts about it! For them, we have some incredible updates.
Killers of the Flower Moon Trailer Leaked Description!
As you may know, CinemaCon 2023 has officially begun and Paramount panel took the main stage on Thursday. The attendees were showered with load of updates about upcoming Paramount projects like a new 20 minutes footage for Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning Part 1, A Quiet Place: Day One footage, IF sizzle reel, Transformers One trailer, and much more. Among all this, fans were also shown a footage for Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Killer of the Flower Moon.
The footage fully teases the main conflict between the Osage people and the white settlers in Osage County in 1920s Oklahoma. Leonardo DiCaprio’s character named Ernest Burkhart is very in love with his wife Mollie, played by Lily Gladstone. When more and more white people settle in the town, grisly murders take place and they’re all of the natives. Robert De Niro as William Hale, who’s a sort of mentor to Leo, advises Ernest that they need to make a new for themselves by obtaining the land’s bounties of oil.
When entering this business filled with blood and oil, Ernest bits off more than he can chew. We see a montage of gruesome murders taking place between the white invaders and Osage people, both sides claiming big numbers of bodies back and forth. Corpses are being buried in oil pits and people are being assassinated in broad daylight. The bond between Ernest and Mollie is then tested, as the loving couple questions their loyalty to their opposing people… and who they really trust in this oil war Ernest is then surprised by the arrival of a city detective, played by Jesse Plemons, who comes knocking on his door for answers. He’s here to solve who’s behind this series of murders. Brendan Fraser’s character briefly makes an appearance in the footage.
