Light and Magic Trailer Released For the Disney Plus Series

If you are interested in the history of movies or how special effects were created in the past, a must-watch docuseries is coming to Disney Plus. Light and Magic, an immersive series chronicling the untold history of renowned Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), will give viewers an inside look at Lucasfilm’s special visual effects, animation, and virtual production division.

A recently released trailer reveals the amount of toil, devotion, and water slides that went into making the first Star Wars movies. As George Lucas and the original team take us back to the studios where it all began, the docuseries appears to be a Star Wars fan’s dream. Light and Magic Dives Into The Achievements And Challenges Of VFX House

The wonder of the early days of visual effects will be demonstrated through archival footage, with scenes from your favourite movies coming to life right before your eyes. According to the trailer, the series’ focus will not only be on the past but also on the present and the future, demonstrating ILM’s unceasing development over time. We’ll hear from legendary filmmakers like Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, and Ron Howard, in addition to George Lucas and the founding staff, as they discuss the history of ILM.

Lawrence Kasdan, an Academy Award nominee who has closely worked with Lucasfilm and ILM, is directing the project. Kasdan is highly recognised for co-writing films including The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Bodyguard, to mention a few. He was nominated for Best Picture for his directing work on The Accidental Tourist.

Along with Howard, Brian Grazer, Justin Wilkes, Kathleen Kennedy, and Michelle Rejwan, Kasdan also serves as an executive producer. All six episodes of Light & Magic premiere on July 27, only on Disney+.
